Think and Grow Rich: A Practical and Comprehensive Interpretation.

Think and Grow Rich: Part 6 – Decision

(part 3 of 3)

A decision is an extremely special principle to practice because without it we wouldn’t be able to experience anything in our physical world – we wouldn’t be living and feeling alive without it.

Something that’s even more special about a decision is that it functions as the gateway between our thoughts/desires (intangible) and its physical equivalent (tangible) that we can experience in our physical reality/world.

Confused? Let’s quickly look at this example:

If we want or desire a new car, it first exists as a feeling that we crave something new or better than what we currently have. Our first decision is that we do in fact want a new car. When the desire is strong enough, we will start (or decide) to scan the catalogs of various car makers that we like and come across a certain car that fits what we want/desire ('this' particular car resonates with us). We then make a decision to go test drive it to be convinced that it matches with what we expect from it. If we love it enough, we’ll make the decision to purchase it.

It started as a desire and thought (intangible) and then became a part of our reality as something that we can experience physically every day (tangible) – it shifted from an intangible state to a tangible state by making a series of decisions towards acquiring it.

So we can conclude, according to Napoleon Hill’s philosophy, that the principle of decision making is the key to acquiring what we want or desire.

However, this leaves us with other questions:

  • How do we start acquiring these things in our physical life?

  • What needs to be done in order to be, do and have these things?

  • How do we fill and accomplish our desire that started all of these thoughts and emotions?

If we refer back to the title again:
Think and Grow Rich.

Up to this point, we have been discussing the principles that deal with the word “Think” in the title – the intangible “stuff”. It’s time now to shift to the principles that help us Grow – the principles that help us translate our desire and thoughts into reality.
